Privacy policy

steamdata.dev collects as little as it can. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no ads, no cookies and no analytics or tracking scripts.
Settings kept in your browser
A few display choices are saved in your browser's local storage, so they're still set next time: the light or dark theme, and which update kinds and evenings the game charts show. They stay on your device, are never sent to the site, and are removed when you clear this site's data in your browser.
Hosting and request logs
The site and the API run on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives what your browser sends with each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the page asked for, and uses it to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, including the API's limit on requests from each IP address. Requests that reach the site's code are logged for a few days to find and fix errors, and then deleted. These logs aren't used to identify or profile anyone, and aren't sold or shared. Cloudflare's own handling is described in its privacy policy.
Steam
Game artwork is loaded straight from Steam's image servers, so your browser asks Valve's servers for it as it would on Steam's own site. Links to store pages and update posts open Steam. What Valve does with those requests is covered by Steam's privacy policy.
Children
The site doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included.
Changes to this policy
If what the site collects changes, this page will be updated first; the date at the top says when it last changed. See also the Terms of use.
